The following match takes place inside a 15 foot steel cage, between Bryan Burke and Lil' Knoxville for the now defunct BWF North American Championships. Enjoy!
The scene fades back from commercial and deep music begins to play as the camera watches a steel cage lower from the rafters to the ring below.
Lou: “Next up, we have the cage match between Lil’ Knoxville and Bryan Burke with the BWF North American Championship on the line.”
B.R: “Viewer discretion is advised. Blood may appear in this match. The cage is made of real steel.”
A blue light dims throughout the arena and Don’t Make plays throughout the arena. Knoxville comes through the crowd and hops over the barricade.
Cindy Lowry: “The following contest is a cage match, where the only way you can win is by climbing over the top and having both feet land on the floor or exit through the cage door and have both feet land on the floor. Introducing to the ring first, weighing in at 247 pounds, from Knoxville, Tennessee, Lil’ Knoxville.”
Knoxville hops into the ring, as a blue waterfall fireworks pour. He takes off his hoodie and stares at the cage as he waits for his opponent. The crowd cheers for Knoxville.
Red and Black lights start flashing as Till I collapse plays throughout the arena. Bryan Burke walks out to the ramp, stares at the crowd, followed by the cage. He begins to walk towards the ring.
Cindy Lowry: “And introducing his opponent, weighing in at 246 pounds, from Chicago, Illinois, “B-Squared” Bryan Burke.”
Burke enters the ring and does a taunt as the crowd cheers.
The bell rings.
Burke and Knoxville lock up. Each man tries to force each to the corner, but neither man will budge. Burke lets go and quickly applies a headlock to Knoxville. Knoxville shoves Burke away and takes him down with a clothesline. Burke quickly stands up, but Knoxville gives him a dropkick. Knoxville begins to stomp on Burke. He lifts Burke up and he throws him into the cage. Burke bounces back and Knoxville gives him a German Suplex. Knoxville goes to the top rope and he attempts a shooting star press, but Burke rolls out of the way and Knoxville crashes into the canvas. Burke rolls over and applies an STF on Knoxville. After a few seconds Burke releases the hold. He lifts up Knoxville and Irish Whips him into the corner. He gives a running clothesline on Knoxville. Knoxville bounces forward and Burke gives him a tornado DDT. Burke runs against the ropes and gives Knoxville a baseball slide to the head. Burke begins to climb the cage.
B.R: “Burke is going to win the North American Championship.”
Burke slowly climbs the cage, as exhaustion begins to play a factor at this point. Burke is halfway up the cage when Knoxville stands up. Knoxville reaches and grabs Burke. He pulls him off the cage and gives him a powerslam. He does not release the position once Burke crashes into the canvas. Knoxville slingshots Burke into the steel of the cage. Burke begins to bleed. Knoxville begins to climb the cage. He slowly climbs up to the top of the cage. Burke is still lying on the canvas.
Lou: “Knoxville is going to win the title now, get out now Knoxville, Come on!!!”
Knoxville is on the corner of the cage. He looks down at Burke. The crowd is cheering. Knoxville jumps and goes for a frog splash on Burke. Burke rolls out of the way, but Knoxville does manage to land on Burke’s arm.
B.R: “Oh my God, Knoxville went for it all right there.”
Lou: “To succeed in this business you have to go balls-out and Knoxville did exactly that.”
Both men are down, but Burke slowly starts to stand. Knoxville is still out. Burke stands up, looks at Knoxville and begins to head to the cage. He is about to climb when all of a sudden Shack comes out to the ramp with a mic. He starts to speak.
Shack: “Oh Bryan.”
Bryan is in the ring freaking out over the fact that Shack is out here now.
Shack: “Bryan, I needed to tell you something, but I can’t recall what it was. Oh I remember now, wait that’s not it.”
Burke starts to cuss out Shack, but is unaware of Knoxville who begins to stand up behind Burke.
Shack: “I know, turn around.”
Burke turns around and is given a dropkick into the steel cage by Knoxville. Burke bounces back and is stumbling. Knoxville runs against the ropes and connects with The Final Countdown, knocking Burke into the steel cage. Burke is out. Knoxville looks around and he heads to the steel cage door. He kicks it open, looks behind at Burke and he walks out of the cage and lands on the floor.
The bell rings.
Cindy Lowry: “Here is your winner and new BWF North American Champion, Lil’ Knoxville.”
B.R: “No, Shack screwed Burke out of the North American Championship.”
Shack is grinning evilly at the top of the ramp.
B.R: “That son of a bitch.”
Lou: “Calm down B.R.”
Shack heads off to the back, as Knoxville is given his Championship belt. Knoxville celebrates wildly, as the crowd cheers. You can also hear some Shack Sucks chants in the crowd.
Burke stands up in the cage pissed off. He kicks the cage and acts very angrily.
B.R: “That Shack messed up an exciting cage match and Burke got screwed for Shack’s actions.”
Lou: “It wasn’t right, but Knoxville is your champ, deal with it.”
The scene fades to a BWF Championship build-up as Burke heads to the back angrily. Knoxville is celebrating in the crowd.
